Private Fund Custody

Whether launching a new fund and planning to raise capital or operating an established fund with significant assets under management, we help private funds and organizations meet custody requirements and investor demand for transparency.

Why you may need a qualified custodian

In 2010, the SEC issued amendments to the ‘Custody Rule’ as part of an effort to increase its regulatory oversight of registered investment advisors by encouraging the use of an independent qualified custodian.

Custody Process

We establish a custody account on behalf of the fund to hold the fund’s assets, process transactions, and send quarterly fund statements as directed. We also understand the importance of developing cohesive, working relationships with everyone involved in fund operations (fund managers, administrators, attorneys, and auditors, among others) and work to help fund operations run more smoothly.
