Position Reports to

Supervisor - Transaction Services Team – Alternative Investments

 

Purpose of Position

This person is responsible for all client and financial advisor interactions for investments in the Alternative Investments department. Through verbal and written communication, this person develops, strengthens and maintains a positive relationship with clients and financial advisors. In doing so, this person also assumes primary responsibility for the placement of trades in investments; and interacting with all necessary departments to implement client requests or inquiries for their investments in alternative assets (e.g., real estate, promissory notes, hedge funds, LLCs, etc.).   This person is instrumental in building and maintaining credibility and confidence in Millennium Trust.
  

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact person for clients and financial advisors as needed to complete transactions
  • Support and guide our clients through the investment process consistent with IRS rules and regulations
  • Execute the placement of transactions for alternative assets
  • Respond to client inquiries on how to make an investment or the status of a transaction in progress
  • As necessary, provide answers to client inquiries regarding Millennium Trust’s products, services and fees
  • Provide educated answers with regard to IRA and Internal Revenue Service Code including prohibited transactions and complex investment scenarios

 

Required Skills:

  • Relationship building skills to be applied to both internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to solve issues and multi-task while handling client calls
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of trust systems--Metavante and Trust Desk preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must to effectively communicate with clients
  • Ability to maintain the highest quality of service
  • Demonstrate the ability to proactively analyze, problem-solve, and make quick sound decisions

 

Preferred Skills

  • Three to five years prior work experience in a financial services industry, specifically client relationship management
  • Prior work experience in an Investment Firm as a Portfolio/Account Administrator
  • IRA knowledge and experience with Private Placements. Experience with Real Estate transactions is a plus

 

Education Requirements

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree in business or finance or minimum 3 years experience in a financial services industry

 

Other Requirements

  • Overtime as required.
  • Provide back-up to Investor Services Team as needed.
